Taipei, 23–24 July 2026 – ASPERSSI participated in the 72nd Asian Cement Producers Amity Club (ACPAC) Conference, held on 23–24 July 2026 at Palais de Chine, Taipei, Taiwan. The conference was hosted by the Taiwan Cement Manufacturers’ Association and brought together representatives from the cement industries of Taiwan, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, the Republic of Korea, Thailand, and the Philippines.
The ACPAC Conference serves as a strategic platform for cement industry stakeholders across Asia to exchange insights on regional economic developments, cement industry performance, market outlook, and ongoing efforts to advance decarbonization. Through country presentations and interactive discussions, participants shared experiences, best practices, and practical approaches to fostering a more sustainable and competitive cement industry.
The discussions highlighted that, despite differences in market conditions across countries, many common challenges are shared throughout the region. These include market oversupply and slowing demand in several markets, rising energy costs, increasing import competition, and the need to accelerate decarbonization while maintaining industrial competitiveness.
Against this backdrop, ACPAC continues to play an important role in strengthening regional collaboration, facilitating knowledge exchange, and promoting mutual understanding of strategies to address the evolving challenges facing the cement industry.
ASPERSSI extends its sincere appreciation to the Taiwan Cement Manufacturers’ Association for the excellent organization of the conference and the warm hospitality extended to all delegates. Through forums such as ACPAC, regional cooperation and the exchange of knowledge are expected to continue supporting the development of a resilient, competitive, and sustainable cement industry across Asia.
